Summary

• Dr. Mercado received his MD at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 2018, after which he did a preliminary year in Internal Medicine and his residency in diagnostic radiology at Indiana University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute. His clinical interests include chronic limb threatening ischemia (CLTI) and limb salvage in underserved patient populations who have this disease process. He would like to improve access, rapid diagnosis and treatment of patients with CLTI in order to prevent unnecessary amputations.
