- Dr. Elnaggar obtained his medical degree from the University of Alexandria School of Medicine in Egypt. He completed his general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. He then moved to Cleveland, OH to complete his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He also spent an additional year at the Cleveland Clinic focusing on surgical treatment of aortic diseases, both open and endovascular, as well as complex redo cardiac surgery.
Dr. Elnaggar joined the faculty at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in 2021 as an assistant professor of surgery. His clinical interests include open and endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms, acute and chronic aortic dissections in addition to all aspects of adult cardiac surgery.
