His research interests focus on advanced endoscopy, motility, and the hepato-pancreato-biliary system.

    As a committed academic, Dr. Diab has served as a reviewer for several esteemed journals, including BMC Gastroenterology, Arab Journal of Gastroenterology, Obesity Surgery, Langenbeck's Archives of Surgery, Scientific Reports, Journal of Robotic Surgery, International Journal of Surgery, and World Journal of Surgical Oncology. He is also a member of the editorial board for the Annals of Esophagus Journal.

    Dr. Diab has received multiple accolades for his work, including recognition for one of his abstracts being ranked among the Top 10 Abstracts at the IFSO 2022 meeting, where 764 abstracts were presented. Additionally, during his residency at the UCF College of Medicine/HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, he was honored as Resident of the Quarter among a cohort of 165 residents.

    Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Diab enjoys running, strength training, watching films, and exploring new cuisines and music.
