• Aaron C. Mason, MD, FAAP, specializes in adult cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and pediatric plastic surgery. He is the only US physician trained as both a plastic surgeon and a pediatrician having completed residencies at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and the University of Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada. Dr. Mason was a primary investigator studying the use of liposuction-derived fat for reconstructive uses, including early studies investigating the prospect of stem cells residing in fat. His clinical interests include breast reconstructive surgery, pediatric plastic surgery including cleft lip/palate and craniofacial care, vascular lesions, body contouring, and cosmetic facial rejuvenation. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association, the American Society of Craniofacial Surgery, and the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons.
