He completed his fellowship in reconstructive urology and genitourinary cancer survivorship at Duke University Hospital following his medical school and residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and the University of North Carolina Hospitals. Dr. Lentz has extensive experience in Urologic prosthetic surgery (penile implants for sexual dysfunction and artificial sphincters for male incontinence), urethral stricture disease, Peyronie's Disease, and male reconstructive surgery. He has published numerous articles in reputable journals, such as the Journal of Sexual Medicine, Urology, BJU International, and The Journal of Urology. Dr. Lentz is director of the Duke SMSNA Fellowship in Prosthetic Urology and Male Sexual Health, the co-director of the Duke Genitourinary Reconstructive Fellowship, and the Medical Director of Surgical Services at the Duke University Raleigh Campus. He serves on the board of directors for the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons.
