Summary
- I am focused on an academic career that will allow me to engage in collaborative work through refinement of team-building skills and additional mentorship in outcomes-based research. I am interested in specifically focusing on improving perioperative outcomes with informatics technology and implementing this expertise in the care of pediatric patients in a large hospital setting. Continued research will help me develop a portfolio focused on post-operative outcomes-related research and design of prospective clinical trials testing interventions to decrease postoperative complications related to miscommunication.
My long-term goal is to seek a position as a Quality Improvement officer at an academic institution and utilize my experience with clinical informatics to evaluate and implement software technology aimed at improving perioperative patient care.
