  • Jonathan J. Rasouli, MD is a board-certified, dual-fellowship trained spinal neurosurgeon specializing in complex and adult spinal deformity surgery at Northwell Health - Staten Island University Hospital. He graduated with honors at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. In 2012, he joined the Department of Neurosurgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital for his neurosurgical residency and completed an enfolded fellowship in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery under Dr. Brian Kopell. After residency, he completed a combined Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Fellowship at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Upon the completion of his residency, he was promoted to Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has presented his work at national and international neurosurgical meetings. He has also provided interviews for CNN, Washington Post, Doximity, Becker’s Spine, and Spinal News International.
