    The Division of Trauma, Acute Care and Critical Care Surgery at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine is seeking an additional full-time academic Trauma, Acute Care and Critical Care surgeon to join an expanding team. The Division is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and is restructuring clinical coverage responsibilities to focus on physician wellness and optimal work-life balance.

    What we’re offering

    1. Clinical service coverage expectation is 15 twelve hour shifts per month.
    2. Successful applicant will join a growing team of 14 highly collaborative and collegial faculty physicians.
    3. We are supported by the resources of one of the leading academic medical centers in the nation and offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
    4. Opportunity to join the only medical facility in Pennsylvania to be accredited as both an adult and pediatric Level 1 trauma center.
    5. The Division of Trauma, Acute Care and Critical Care Surgery is responsible for the management of emergency general surgery for the institution and there exists potential to develop an elective practice as well.
    6. The Division has an active clinical research program, leads an expanding global surgery program, and offers Fellowships in Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
    7. Appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, dependent on qualifications.

    What we’re seeking

    • M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
    • BC/BE Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
    • Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
    • Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
