Inova Health System is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician who specializes in Child Abuse to join our dynamic team here in Falls Church, VA, located right outside Washington, DC. The ideal candidate would have experience in all forms of Child Maltreatment and be a board-certified Child Abuse Pediatrician to serve as a Pediatric Medical Director of the Forensic Assessment and Consultation Team. A strong commitment to collaboration and quality is essential for this position.

This position would be a part of a team consisting of forensic nurse examiners, a clinical manager, a director, a practice manager, an executive director, an adult medical director, and a medical assistant.

Job Details

1. Responsibilities include forensic evaluations and consultation in child physical abuse and neglect
2. Supervision of forensic nurse examiners
3. Providing education to colleagues, medical students and community partners
4. Collaborate with community partners and multidisciplinary teams. participate in quality informatics, policy review including standing orders, provide peer and expert review of forensic examinations
5. Be available by phone to assist with patient care for deviations from standing orders
