Hospital: Norwalk Hospital, part of the Nuvance System
Location: Norwalk, Connecticut
Facility Overview:
- 366-bed academic, acute care hospital
- Birthing center with lactation consultants, childbirth education and support group
- CNM care and MFM specialists onsite
- Level III NICU
- Laboring tubs and nitrous oxide for natural birth experiences
- Approximately 800 annual deliveries
- In-House Anesthesia
- Family Medicine Residency Program
Responsibilities (Location specific):
- OB Hospitalists responsible for unassigned deliveries and OBED patients
- Provides Support to CNM’s
- OBHG Hospitalist attend emergent deliveries, such as repeat C-sections, and unassigned deliveries
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time: 5 or more 24-hour shifts per 28-day block
- Part-Time: 1 to 4 24-hour shifts per 28-day block
- PRN available
