The Department of Pediatrics at Dartmouth Health Children’s and The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth seeks a Pediatric Hospitalist to serve as the Section Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. This individual will provide leadership for the Pediatric Hospitalist section and clinical care on the 21-bed inpatient pediatric unit and in the normal newborn nursery, with 1350 deliveries per year. The Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine provides 24/7 in-house coverage and serves as a core teaching and academic division within the Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will have a national reputation in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and experience in clinical care, research, quality improvement, and leadership.

Applicants should be Board Certified in General Pediatrics; and Board Certification and/or eligibility in Pediatric Hospital Medicine are also desirable.

Dartmouth Health Children’s provides an extended system of care with primary, specialty, and advanced tertiary pediatric services, including an inpatient pediatric unit with PICU, level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and level III NICU at its flagship Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD). Dartmouth Health Children’s also operates a comprehensive ambulatory specialty center at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Manchester, the largest city in the state, and 10 pediatric primary care medical homes across the region. Teaching residents and medical students is expected, so eligibility for appointment to the faculty at The Geisel School of Medicine is required, at a rank commensurate with experience and academic portfolio.
