Position Highlights

  • Collegial group practice with a large referral base
  • Will join our respected division including three advanced practitioner clinicians
  • Position will be located at the Worcester Medical Center inside of Saint Vincent Hospital
  • Performs age appropriate preop exam, evaluation and treatment for patients undergoing the following surgical procedural area: vascular, general, urological, orthopedic, ENT obstetric, ophthalmic, podiatry, or other operation
  • Takes history, including chief complaint, presenting illness, past medical history, and interval history
  • Orders lab studies when indicated including EKG and other blood work
  • Screening for infection and any cardiac or pulmonary problems
  • Excellent support staff and state of the art EPIC EMR system

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must have National Board Certification
  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of registration in Nursing
  • Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant program, Masters level preferred
  • 1-3 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience primary care or specialty care
  • Maintains BLS certification, professional certification as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in EMR systems & technology
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
