Job Summary:

The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a visionary and dynamic physician-scientist to serve as the Vice Chair of Research, as part of an academic career within the Department of Radiology at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Tenure Track.

The successful applicant will be a nationally or internationally recognized leader in imaging research with a track-record of successfully obtaining extramural funding at the NIH level or equivalent. They will also possess a strong background in research strategy, research mentorship and professional development, and research administration.

The successful candidate will perform research as part of their duties as the Vice Chair of Research in addition to serving in a clinical capacity for the Department of Radiology. The clinical area will be determined by the successful applicant's sub-specialty expertise and interests in Radiology.

The Vice Chair of Research will work closely with additional Department of Radiology leaders, including the Department of Radiology Chair, to lead a strong research culture conducive to successful academic productivity and extramural grant funding.

Qualifications:

Completion of Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program: Required by Start Date

Fellowship training in radiology sub-specialty: Required by Start Date

Minimum of 5 years of experience with research, grant funding which supports strong research background: Preferred

Education:

Required
Terminal Degree
MD, DO or equivalent

Preferred
PhD or equivalent

License/Certification:

Required
MD - Physician - State Licensure
WI Medical License, or eligible by the start date.

ABR - Certified or board eligible by American Board of Radiology
Board certified or Board eligible in American Board of Radiology by start date.
