Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute seek to hire a full-time a dynamic, highly-qualified, board-certified (or eligible) Plastic Surgeon to join City of Hope's Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery. Microsurgical fellowship training or extensive experience as a primary surgeon in microsurgical procedures is required. The Plastic Surgeon can look forward to providing patient-centered care in collaboration with a world class, nationally-recognized team of medical, surgical, and radiation cancer specialists and other health care professionals. Engage in the care of cancer survivorship patients, in addition to care of the regional population at large. Position Highlights:

  • Practice site is at our main campus in Duarte, CA.
  • This is a full-time position in an established and rapidly expanding team of 6 plastic surgeons, NP, PA and Microsurgery Fellow.
  • Clinical work will include care of complex reconstructive problems (breast reconstruction, lymphatic reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, chest wall and extremity reconstruction, skin cancer etc.). Predominance will be to provide reconstructive needs of breast and skin cancer patients.

Qualifications

  • Ability to grow a busy clinical practice
  • Collaborative with interest in teaching, research, and clinical trials
  • Academic record consistent with appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor level at City of Hope National Medical Center
  • Prior experience should include a commitment to provide state-of-the-art patient focused clinical care, specialized training & ability in microsurgical procedures, dedication to resident education (teaching awards, etc.), accomplishment in research, and a knowledge base pertinent to the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • Microsurgical fellowship training or extensive experience as a primary surgeon in microsurgical procedures is required
  • Selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
  • Applicants must have an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree, and be board-certified or board-eligible in Plastic Surgery

Salary Range: $400K - $520K. The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.
