Job Summary:
The Division of Nephrology has two open positions for an academic Associate or Assistant Professor, on the Clinical Health Services (CHS) track or on the Clinician Teacher (CT) track to join our team as we expand our division. In particular, individuals with interest in polycystic kidney disease, onconephrology, glomerular/parenchymal diseases, or point-of-care ultrasound are encouraged to apply. This physician will be expected to provide coverage of Nephrology Division hospital services and ambulatory experiences at UW Health approved locations, and opportunities for leadership in inpatient and/or outpatient dialysis may be available. This physician will participate in teaching learners in some or all of the Department of Medicine, Nephrology Division continuing professional education, fellowship program activities, internal medicine residency experiences in nephrology, and medical school courses and clinical experiences. If pursuing the Clinical Health Science (CHS) track, research responsibilities will include engaging in active collaborative clinical research on multi-disciplinary projects, and this physician will be encouraged to apply to obtain internal and/or extramural funding to support research endeavors. University and community service will be expected as appropriate.Appointment at the associate professor rank may include leadership participation at the division and/or department level.

Qualifications:
Strong skills in written and verbal communication, collaboration and teamwork, evidence of excellence in nephrology clinical practice and teaching, commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and academic interest in nephrology with prior publications in peer-reviewed journals preferred.

License/Certification:

ABIM - American Board of Internal Medicine Certification
Ability to obtain license to practice medicine in Wisconsin.
Current certification or eligibility for certification in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine
