Overview
Unique opportunity for a pediatrician to join our outstanding neonatology group in Austin, TX Responsibilities
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatrician who has an interest in working in a level III or IV NICU as a neonatal ICU hospitalist. Under the supervision of our neonatologist, the neonatal ICU hospitalist enjoys the ability to work in a higher scope without additional training.
Our dedicated neonatologists, NNPs, and pediatricians provide excellent care to the patients of Austin, Texas, and its surrounding areas. Our team cares for infants at our state-of-the-art Level IV NICU at Dell Children’s Medical Center, a leading provider of pediatric care in Central Texas. We also provide specialized care for infants requiring Level II and Level III NICU services at our multiple Ascension Seton Hospitals.
- Clinical responsibilities include prenatal and newborn consultations, attendance of high-risk deliveries, and comprehensive management of neonates in the NICU and newborn nurseries throughout our multiple hospital units.
- Scheduling includes 24-hour shifts
- Medical services include HFOV, nitric oxide, and total body cooling
- NICU supported by strong MFM program and pediatric sub-specialties
- Neonatologists remain in-house
- Cohesive and collegial group with very low turnover

- Special Delivery Unit at Dell Children’s Medical Center, one of the few delivery centers in the nation attached to a children’s hospital

- Point of care ultrasound (POCUS) capabilities
