  • Phoenix Children's is actively seeking a Physician Assistant to join their dynamic Orthopaedics team here in Phoenix, AZ!

    Job Details

    1. Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients.
    2. Conduct patient assessments, diagnose orthopedic conditions, and develop treatment plans.
    3. Majority of clinical care will take place at our Arrowhead and Main Hospital campus.
    4. Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
    5. Educate patients and families on treatment options, recovery, and preventive measures.
    6. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
    7. Provide specialized care in areas such as trauma, neuromuscular conditions, scoliosis, and sports medicine.
    8. Lead and mentor a team of healthcare professionals, fostering growth and development with the expansion of the new location.
    9. Participate in training programs for medical staff, residents, and students in our new facility.
    10. Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric orthopedics and share knowledge with colleagues.
    11. Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the orthopedic department.
    12. Implement evidence-based practices and protocols.
    13. Community Engagement: Engage with the local community through educational workshops, seminars, and outreach programs.
    14. Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (typical hours, subject to change).
    15. Call/After-Hours Requirements: Currently no call or after-hours duties, but anticipate future changes.

    Job Qualifications

    1. Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a focus on orthopedics, orthopedic or pediatric orthopedic experience a plus.
    2. Valid state license and national certification.
    3. Experience in pediatric orthopedics preferred but not required (new graduates are welcome).
    4. Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
