Hospital Information: * Facility type: 14-bed emergency department (ED) * Annual ED volume: 16,000 visits * Admission rate: 8-10% * EMR system: Cerner * Physician staffing: two, 12-hour physicians * Schedule: full-time, 12-hour shifts 

Key Responsibilities: * Provide direct patient care in the emergency department under the supervision of ED physicians * Oversee clinical care, ensuring patients receive high-quality, compassionate treatment * Lead and collaborate with the medical team, including physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff * Leadership and supervisory duties (though prior leadership experience is not mandatory, it's ideal) * Work with an experienced, cohesive team to manage the ED's annual case load

Required Qualifications: * Two years of post-graduate experience as a PA or NP in emergency medicine * Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications: * Previous leadership or supervisory experience * Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with medical staff, patients, and families

Fallon, Nevada

Located in the Lahontan Valley, Fallon is the county seat of Churchill County, Nevada, in the western part of the state. Fallon and Churchill County are mostly agricultural areas. Although the area is arid, approximately 50,000 acres (200 km2) of its pastureland are irrigated with water from the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District. The principal crop grown is alfalfa for livestock feed. The largest single employer in Fallon and Churchill County is the important Naval Air Station Fallon, a training airfield that has been the home of the U.S. Navy's Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center including the TOPGUN training program since 1996, when it was moved to Fallon from Naval Air Station Miramar.
