Southwest Medical Associates (SMA), an Optum company, is Nevada’s largest multi-specialty practice, with over 350 physicians and advanced practice clinicians. Our facilities include 22 medical offices, with 6 urgent cares clinics, 7 Convenient Care Clinics, two lifestyle centers catering to seniors and two outpatient surgery centers. The practice is fully integrated and includes home health, complex disease management, pharmacy services, medical management and palliative care. SMA is actively engaged in population health management, with an emphasis on outcomes, and offers patients compassionate, innovative and high-quality care throughout Nevada. SMA is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Position Highlights:
- Providers work primarily three 12-hour work weeks on-site in one of our urgent care clinics, with some weekends, nights and holiday shifts distributed evenly among the staff
- Attractive base salary, sign on bonus, and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and life insurance, STD/LTD, professional liability, matching 401K, paid vacation, CME, and eight company paid holidays
Required Qualifications:
- National Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certification
- Unrestricted, NP/PA-C active licensure in the State of Nevada or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Current DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment
- An unrestricted DEA and Controlled Substance License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- 3+ years of experience working in emergency or urgent care setting, with heavy procedure experience
Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
