Part-time Physician Assistant - MedExpress On-Site Solutions

OptumCare, the largest network of medical groups in the nation, is seeking a Part-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our corporate care team in Jacksonville, FL. As a Primary Care Provider, you will be afforded an opportunity to practice whole person primary care without many of the constraints of a traditional community practice. At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing dedicated health care delivery locally.

This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - no weekends or holidays.**

Position Highlights

• Deliver the highest quality primary care services including:
• Wellness and Preventative Physical Exams
• Acute care of minor illness and injuries
• Chronic Disease Management and Longitudinal care
• Minor procedures (suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.)
• Lifestyle and well-being counseling
• Medical management of behavioral health conditions
• Telemedicine services
• Provide clinical leadership of worksite staff
• Work closely with a certified medical assistant

Required Qualifications:

• Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP or certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA
• 1+ years of experience working independently
• Unrestricted DEA license (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Must be CPR certified (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• DOT certification (or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Clinical experience working as a provider in an emergency medicine or urgent care setting
• Willing and able to assist at other center locations in the area
