Inpatient Only Gastroenterology Opportunity in Michigan

Role:

• Hospital coverage only. No clinic responsibilities.
• Provide care for the hospital, emergency department (ED), and phone calls from sites across the Health System while on duty.

Schedule:

• Week-long coverage: Monday morning to the following Monday morning.
• Two weeks per month

Coverage Dates Needed:

• 1/16/25 – 1/27/25
• 2/3/25 – 2/10/25
• 2/17/25 – 2/24/25
• 2/27/25 – 3/3/25
• 3/10/25 – 3/17/25
• 3/24/25 – 4/7/25
• 4/14/25 – 4/21/25
• 5/8/25 – 5/14/25
• 5/22/25 – 6/2/25

Responsibilities:

• Handle approximately 4-8 consults/rounds per day.
• Collaborate with 24/7 in-house anesthesia support.

Clinical Support:

• Dedicated support from three Interventional Radiology (IR) physicians.
• Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support is available Monday through Thursday.

EMR System:

• Epic

Required Qualifications:

• At least one year of active practice as a Gastroenterologist.
• Submission of case logs with a minimum of 24 patient encounters in the past 12 months.
• Active Michigan medical license or eligibility for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

Credentialing Timeframe:

• Typically 30 days, with prioritized applications based on start date.
