Exciting Opportunity for Movement Disorder Neurologists in Beautiful Virginia Beach!

Join Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and Sentara Healthcare in making a significant impact in the field of neurology at the Lawrence J. Goldrich Institute for Integrated Neuro-Health.. The EVMS appointment will be within the Department of Neurology, providing an excellent opportunity for academic growth and collaboration with other faculty members.

EVMS is looking for a full-time, board-certified Movement Disorders Fellowship Trained Neurologist to help launch this incredible program. The Institute provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients, supporting caregivers, creating novel treatment programs, and accelerating research in diagnosing and treating neurodegenerative disorders.

Sentara Medical Group (SMG) is also seeking an outpatient-only, Movement Disorders neurologist to expand its Movement Disorder division. This position is Outpatient only, with no night or weekend call. The successful candidate could be considered for a junior clinical role, or depending on experience, a more senior leadership position.

This exciting joint opportunity offers the best of both worlds by combining a private practice model with an academic position. The successful candidate will be employed by SMG and receive SMG physician compensation and benefits. Additionally, the candidate will be jointly appointed to EVMS as faculty with a rank commensurate with experience.

In addition to leading development of an expanded Movement Disorders program within the newly created Goldrich Institute, this position also provides an opportunity to support the existing program, that includes comprehensive care of Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease patients, a Deep Brain Stimulation program, performing Botox procedures and leading clinical trials.
