Call Details: 24-hour Call coverage

Dates:

• March 28-April 10 (2 weeks)
• June 13-19
• Oct 10-16

Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60 days

Patient Volume:

*Hospital service has an average of 8-14 total patients/day (new patients consults and follow-ups)

*Avg 4-6 new patient consults/day

*Avg 10 hrs/day. The current neurologist has not needed to come back into the hospital for any stat consults for several years since tele-stroke has been covering acute stroke treatment

*Once done rounding, the provider can go back to the hotel and see routine consults the following day and take calls from home. For any routine consults after 5 o'clock on Thursday, the Friday provider taking over will see

REQUIRED PROCEDURES:

*Epilepsy and other seizures disorders (EEG) Headaches, including migraines, Movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor, Multiple sclerosis, Neuromuscular disorders, such as myasthenia gravis, Neuropathy (numbness, tingling or other signs of nerve damage) Stroke

NOT REQUIRED:

*EMG and Formal Stroke call not required

*Locum will not have to give TPA or assess acute stroke patients as that is covered by Tele-stroke

*Locum will only see the admitted stroke patients

APP Support: Yes

EMR: Cerner

Client Requirements: Must be board certified or truly board eligible in Neurology

Travel and Lodging: All expenses covered

Malpractice Insurance: Medical Protective provided through Delta Locums

Rates: $3k/day
