The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Miami, Leonard Miller School of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Professor of Clinical.
This position reports to the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and is the primary liaison between the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and JMH Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic Behavioral Health. The position includes opportunities for participation in research and other academic activities of a rapidly growing Department of Psychiatry with a national reputation for research, teaching and clinical service.
Job Function
- Evaluation and treatment of child and adolescent patients at the University of Miami Clinics and hospitals.
- Teaching of medical students, supervision of psychiatry residents and child psychiatry fellows
- Evaluation and treatment of patients as a part of the UMMG faculty practice
- Actively work with departmental chiefs and key department representatives on important patient care issues, including meetings with other department directors/managers as needed.
- Coordinate and participates in staff and faculty meetings.
- Participate in clinical meetings with administration and Department of Psychiatry to address administrative/clinical issues.
- The Department's Chair or Vice Chair may assign additional duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD in addition to a valid Florida License is required
- Fellowship Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
