Pulm/Critical Care opportunity in Coastal Virginia

Sentara Medical Group, a division of Sentara Health, is searching for a BC/BE Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to join the team. This opportunity is at Sentara Leigh Hospital, a 274-bed community hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

About the Position:

• Employed position with Sentara Medical Group.
• Approximately 18 shifts/month including OP Pulmonology and IP Critical Care.
• Day shifts with night call from home and in-house APP coverage with tele-ICU support. Option to participate in night tele-ICU coverage.
• 5-7 days/month OP Pulmonology, average patients/day is 14.
• 20-bed open, high acuity medical ICU with APP support days and nights.
• Option to participate in teaching medical students.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Shift-based model starting $475,000+/year.
• Annual Quality Performance Incentive – up to $30,000.
• Sign-on and Commencement bonus.
• Annual CME allowance - $7,500
• Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, and retirement package with matching contribution.
• 35 days annually available for vacation/sick/CME.

Requirements:

• BC/BE in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine.
• Team player, invested in patient care.
• New grads are welcome.
