Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Neurosurgeon to join our dynamic and growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and surgically treating disorders related to the brain, spine, and nervous system. This role offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. This role provides an opportunity to create and expand a Neurosurgery residency program in partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
- We have a highly skilled & diverse team of physicians (6), APPs (6), support staff (13)
- Established practice with the opportunity to quickly develop a busy clinic
- Opportunity to be involved with the residency program
- ~225+ cases annually with 70% spine and 30% cranial case mix
- 1 clinic day per week and 2 OR blocks per week
- 2-3+ procedures per OR block and 20 patients per clinic day
- Spine navi – two second gen O-Arms, 3 Medtronic S8 Stealth work stations, also have a Stryker nav with cranial applications, two penteros and one Kinevo which has 5-ALA capability, Jackson tables, no biplane in the OR – but have 2 biplanes in the radiology and cardiology suites, TrueBam gamma knife system, 24/7 interoperative neuro monitoring, & 2 full time employed techs and a contract for overflow
- Dedicated neuro ICU with 10 beds
- Only covering one hospital, University Medical Center
- Large patient catchment area spanning several counties across West Texas & Eastern New Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform surgical procedures to treat neurological conditions, including brain tumors, spinal cord injuries, and peripheral nerve disorders.
- Serve as the Neurosurgery Residency Program Director, overseeing the academic and clinical training of residents.
- Diagnose and manage diseases affecting the nervous system through advanced imaging, testing, and evaluations.
- Collaborate with neurologists, oncologists, orthopedic surgeons, and other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including consultations and follow-ups.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required. Trauma call is rotated amongst 4 physicians. One week of call every 3 weeks with assigned APP. Trauma/assigned mix.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options, post-surgical care, and recovery expectations.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Fellowship training in spine, cranial, endovascular, or pediatrics.
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurosurgery.

Compensation Details
$900-1,250k
