OB Hospitalist Opportunity at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton, Pennsylvania

Position Details:

• Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
• Sign-On Bonus Available
• Wage Range: $300,000 - $415,000
• No On-Call Duty Required

Hospital Overview: Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton supports approximately 650 annual deliveries, offering Level III and IV NICU care through the network and a Newborn Nursery on-site. Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) support is provided via telehealth, and the facility uses EPIC as its EMR. The hospital has nine postpartum suites and provides access to Lehigh Valley network physicians for additional support.

• Work Schedule: Flexible, with full-time hospitalists typically working five or more 24-hour shifts in a 28-day block, while part-time roles consist of one to four shifts in the same period

Role Responsibilities:

• Handle obstetric emergencies, manage unassigned deliveries, and provide care in the OBED
• Collaborate with network physicians and offer support to nursing staff and private practice physicians
• Evaluate and treat triage patients, assist with labor, deliver babies, and manage postpartum care
• Educate residents, medical students, and nursing staff, contributing to a learning-focused environment

Qualifications:

• Board-Certified or Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active medical license
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and supporting continuous improvement
