OB Hospitalist Opportunity at St. Luke’s Hospital – Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ

Position Details:

• Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
• Sign-On Bonus Available
• Wage Range: $250,000 - $350,000
• No On-Call Duty Required

Hospital Overview: Clara Maass Medical Center (CMMC) handles approximately 1,800 deliveries annually and offers comprehensive maternity services with a focus on family-centered care. The center features six modern LDR suites, private postpartum rooms, and two surgical suites for complicated deliveries and cesareans. CMMC also houses a Level II NICU with 24/7 neonatology support for newborns requiring specialized care. The center’s liberal visitation policy and extensive family classes encourage a supportive environment for new mothers and families.

Position Benefits:

• Work Schedule: 24-hour shift model, with flexible scheduling and guaranteed shifts planned 90 days in advance; typically, 21+ days off per month

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage obstetric emergencies, unassigned deliveries, and patient care in the OBED
• Collaborate with local physicians and provide consultation to support staff and private practices
• Evaluate and treat triage patients, monitor labor, deliver babies, perform surgeries, and provide postpartum care
• Educate residents, medical students, and nursing staff

Qualifications:

• Board-Certified or Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active medical license
• Dedication to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
