FAMILY MEDICINE LOCUM ASSIGNMENT IN ALASKA STARTING SOON

Essentials:

MD / DO

Locum 1099 Independent contractor

April 1 - June 30, 2025, with possible extension

AK medical license

BLS / ACLS DEA

AK business license, to be obtained after confirmation

Board certification ABFM

Two years practice experience

Malpractice insurance provided

Travel and lodging at no expense to physician, all arranged.

Facility Credentialing Details:

Takes about 3 weeks, Emergency Credential for clear file.

Provider must be FULLY vaccinated

Practice details and Schedule:

Clinic Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, 40 hrs per week

No call/ no weekends

10 - 15 patients per day

Outpatient primary care for ages newborn through geriatric. General gyn, Simple procedures (Suturing, I&D)

MA assigned for rooming patients, with RN back-up

EMR is Cerner

Emergencies go to community hospital in town

Business casual

Logistics:

Physician will fly into the community

Vehicle provided

Fully furnished apartment

Family member welcome, no pets

Community basics:

Very popular tourist destination, especially in the summer months. A lot to see and do in the region, easy travel from Seattle, WA.

Compensation:

$185/hour for every hour in clinic
