  • Phoenix Children’s is actively seeking a full time Medical Director focused on Mass Spectrometry in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine to join our dynamic team here in Phoenix, AZ!

    Job Details

    1. Primary clinical duties will include development and oversight of mass spectrometry methods in biochemical genetics, therapeutic drug monitoring, toxicology, and endocrinology.
    2. Responsibilities in other clinical arenas are expected based on prior experience and interest.

    Job Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, be an active clinical consultant, ensure continuous quality testing improvement, and guide appropriate laboratory stewardship.

    1. Candidates must possess an M.D./D.O. and/or Ph.D.
    2. Board-Certified (or eligible) in Clinical Chemistry from the American Board of Clinical Chemistry or by the American Board of Pathology
    3. Prior experience in Mass Spectrometry method development is essential

    Academic appointment at the University of Arizona College of Medicine at Phoenix is encouraged, as a significant portion of time will be dedicated to teaching activities for fellows,

    residents and students. Additional academic appointments at Mayo Clinic Arizona and Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix are also possible. Scholarship, collaborative research, and participation in multidisciplinary teams is expected.
