The Georgetown Division of Hematology and Oncology, integrated with the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center—the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area—is recruiting a faculty member to join our highly recognized Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology and Multi-disciplinary team with a focus on Hepatobiliary Cancers at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. This role integrates medical expertise, cutting-edge therapies, and comprehensive research to advance cancer treatment.
This is an academic clinical translational research position for an experienced or new graduate attending physician. Candidates should be excellent communicators and clinicians, have an interest in Hepatobiliary cancers, an interest in maintaining and expanding a clinical research portfolio, a collaborative contributor and have leadership qualities with an interest in supporting resident/medical student education. This position offers the opportunity to mentor at all levels including medical student and house staff education in an ACGME- accredited fellowship program with the opportunity for a faculty appointment at the appropriate academic level.
The opportunity’s main location will be located at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, an acute-care teaching and research hospital with 609 beds located in northwest Washington, D.C. This position has a hiring range of $308,500 - $504,107.
