    About the Role:

    • Lead the Section on Heart Transplant, VAD, and Advanced Heart Failure
    • Department: Cardiovascular Medicine, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist & Wake Forest University School of Medicine
    • Reports to: Chair, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine
    • Responsibility: Grow the Heart Transplant and VAD program
    • Opportunity: Further develop a well-established program
    • Lead: Clinical care, education, and academics

    Team:

    • 5 Faculty Members, 7 Advanced Practice Providers
    • Ongoing recruitment

    Responsibilities:

    • Transplant, VAD, and Advanced Heart Failure services
    • Clinical aspects, educational efforts, program development, quality improvement

    Clinical Duties:

    • Shared inpatient service and call
    • Outpatient clinic
    • Procedures

    Requirements

    • Licensed or Eligible for NC Medical License
    • Board Certified in Relevant Fields
    • Demonstrated Leadership Skills, Present or Emerging National Stature, Demonstrable Clinical Program Operational Skills and Outstanding Clinical Training and Experience
    • Clinical Experience in Heart Transplantation to Include Post Graduate Experience
    • Meets the qualifications and requirements for United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) accreditation for a Heart Transplant Program

    Compensation Details

    $550-650k

    This is a broad range. Higher compensation may be available, including incentive bonus structure, for the right candidate.
