The Medical Director provides management of the Medical & Psychiatric Services of the facility. Reporting to the Chief Medical Director, the Medical Director provides effective leadership to staff, has knowledge of Advanced Recovery Systems programs & directs all medical activities within the facility in accordance with standards of State & Federal regulations & other indicated regulatory.
CORE JOB DUTIES:
- Provides administrative oversight of the facility's medical services, by overseeing & leading the medical staff, dietitians, & physician services coordinator (where applicable) while building a collaborative team with nursing & clinical team.
- Provides excellent medical care with the ARS philosophy outlined by the CMO. This includes knowledge of detoxification protocols, assessment for medication, withdrawal assessment & management of complications, detoxification protocols, & Medication Assisted Therapy.
- Understands ASAM criteria & Medical Needs Criteria provided & will document decision making accordingly.
- Assists the CMO & the Executive Director of the facility in the development & maintenance of written objectives, policies, a procedure manual, an organization plan & a quality assurance program for medical services, & review of all medical policies & procedures at least annually. Documentation shall be shared with the facility’s medical staff; the director of nursing serves & other appropriate medical staff on an ongoing basis or as revisions are made.
- In conjunction with the CMO, Executive Director and the governing authority of the substance use disorders treatment facility, plan, & budget for medical services.
- Support medical staff for success with medical department metrics including, but not limited to Expense Management, Compliance & other assigned duties.

Compensation Details
$350-400k
