Summary
- Our care philosophy as an Osteopathic practice is to provide comprehensive care, integrating the mind and body, in order to alleviate pain, increase wellness, and improve health. Rather than focusing exclusively on the disease and its symptoms, we believe in treating the whole person to ensure high quality, total care of the patient.
Dr. Hamstra cares for patients with a wide range of conditions, including benign diseases of abdominal organs, such as Gallbladder disease, Appendicitis, Hernias, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Diverticulitis, & Hemorrhoids, as well as those with Cancer of the skin, Thyroid, Breast, Intestines/Colon/Anus, and Soft Tissues. He also cares for patients with lipomas, cysts, skin tags, and wound care surgery.
Dr. Hamstra specializes in both laparoscopic and robotic techniques. Use of the laparoscope and the robot increase patient satisfaction by minimizing hospital stays and recovery time. These minimally invasive techniques aim to reduce scarring and pain associated with otherwise disfiguring and painful results.
