Summary
- My research program focuses on the regulation and dysfunction of mitochondrial energy metabolism in cardiopulmonary disease processes such as pulmonary hypertension, right ventricular failure, lung injury, and shock. The vision our lab is to develop novel, precise, and affordable treatments to decrease death and disability amongst Veterans and beyond. Bold patient-oriented translation is emphasized by collaborations with clinicians and investigators across our healthcare system.
My clinical practice focuses on multidisciplinary critical care, general pulmonology, and pulmonary hypertension.
I am committed to teaching graduate students, medical students, residents, fellows, and allied providers in the clinic, classroom, and laboratory environments.
