- Dr. Lin is an expert clinician, educator, researcher, and health system leader in the specialty of family medicine. He earned his MD from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his training at Stanford’s family medicine residency program. Dr. Lin is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is an active member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. He has received numerous national awards and is recognized among the top family physicians in the United States.
Dr. Lin cares for people of all ages, often for members of the same family. He has a particular interest in preventive cardiology, diabetes, hepatitis B, and mental health. He is proficient in a wide range of primary care procedures – including over 40 different skin, musculoskeletal, and women’s health procedures that are performed in the office. Dr. Lin is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and provides the highest quality, evidence based, culturally competent care for people of all backgrounds at Stanford.
Dr. Lin is the Family Medicine Service Chief and the Head of Technology Innovation in the Division of Primary Care and Population Health at Stanford. He is the founder of 3 nationally recognized programs – the O’Connor-Stanford Leaders in Education Residency Program (OSLER), the Stanford Medical Scribe Fellowship (COMET), and the Stanford Healthcare AI Applied Research Team (HEA3RT).
Dr. Lin is the author of over 260 scholarly works and conference presentations. His research covers a broad range of topics. His current focus is on artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare.
