He has been in clinical practice 50 years and in cancer research since 1963, initiating research on immune tolerance, lymphocyte transformation and delayed hypersensitivity. He has published extensively on HD (Hodgkin’s disease), prostate cancer and numerous original articles related to enhancing the quality of life of patients receiving cancer treatments. He specializes in genitourinary oncology and hematologic oncology and is experienced in light chain amyloidosis (AL), prostate cancer, and COVID-19. He has 3 books on Amazon, one of which is non-medical and entitled What We Must Demand For Our Democracy to Survive. His other two books relate to prostate cancer and are: The Primer on Prostate Cancer by Strum & Pogliano and Prostate Cancer. Essential Concepts for Survival. The latter has only been published (so far) as a Kindle eBook. He currently is working on a non-fiction book that documents Donald Trump as a functional Russian operative, hoping to see this published before the 2024 elections.
