- Dr. Sharlene Su specializes in the treatment of acute and chronic pain using minimally-invasive interventions, medications, and multidisciplinary care. She is skilled in the latest pain management techniques including neuromodulation, minimally-invasive spine decompression, vertebral augmentation, spinal injections, and radiofrequency ablation, and she has published and presented nationally on her research in pain medicine. Dr. Su completed her fellowship in Pain Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis and her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Stanford University where she served as Chief Resident and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Su's background includes technology innovation and consulting, including building medical devices with the Stanford Biodesign community and working at Google to develop Google Health and global payments systems prior to launching her career in medicine.
Dr. Su earned her M.D. from University of Maryland School of Medicine and graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Public Health. She enjoys advocating for others through healthcare leadership, having served as the Vice-President of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physiatrist-in-Training Council and Co-Chair of the Chief Residents Council at Stanford University Medical Center.
