- Sagar S. Parikh, MD, FAAPMR, is an Interventional Pain Medicine Specialist who is dual Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He sees patients from the Hoboken and Shrewsbury, New Jersey, offices of Downtown Pain Management.
Dr. Parikh specializes in the treatment of sports injuries and musculoskeletal pain conditions including but not limited to neck and back pain, joint pain, pain from arthritis, complex regional pain syndrome, injuries from work-related and motor vehicle accidents and sports and overuse injuries. He is expertly trained in conservative management as well as fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided interventions for pain relief.
Dr. Parikh obtained his medical degree from Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he graduated with Distinction in Research. He then completed his residency training at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Manhattan, New York, and pain fellowship training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Parikh is still involved in educational and research related projects and is an integral part of the Pain Fellowship training program at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation institute as well as Assistant Professor at both Hackensack School of Medicine and Rutgers Medical School. He holds many publications in textbooks, medical journals, and online compendiums for Pain Management and Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Parikh has a holistic approach in the treatment of his patients, including reducing their pain, improving their functional ability, and educating them on the causes and injury prevention.
