  • Dr. Robert Schreiber is a pulmonologist and critical care physician who worked in offices in Great Neck and Massapequa, NY while working as a partner for Nassau Chest Physicians, PC for most of his career. His primary hospital affiliation was at St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center, in Roslyn, NY, and he also had clinical privileges at LIJ and North Shore University Hospital (Northwell) Manhasset as a voluntary physician. He received his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. He did his Internal Medicine residency at Baltimore City Hospital (now Bayview Medical Center) and his Pulmonary training at UNC Chapel Hill. He also subspecialized in critical care medicine and worked in the ICU, and additionally cared for patients with asthma, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis and other general respiratory problems. After spending many years in private group practice, he was then employed by Catholic Health; first he served as the medical director of the Surgical ICU, and then as the Director of the Pulmonary Division at St Francis Hospital. He retired from clinical practice in November 2023. He is currently the President of the Nassau County Medical Society.
