  • Dr. Shanesmith earned her undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Oklahoma and continued her medical studies at the University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine. Rebecca has shown her passion for dermatopathology as she worked with numerous national and international experts in the field including the esteemed and world renowned dermatopathologist Dr. Eduardo Calonje, based at the St. Johns Institute of Dermatology/ Dermatopathology in London, UK.

    Adding to her experience, Rebecca worked rotations with many of the nation's top-rated hospitals in including Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Oklahoma University Medical Center, and the University of Hawaii's Queen's Hospital. Dr. Shanesmith's fellowship training took her to the prestigious high volume dermatopathology program at Tulane University.

    Rebecca has presented and published numerous works internationally and domestically to the likes of the College of American Pathology and the XXIX Symposium of the International Society of Dermatopathology in Graz, Austria.
