Summary

  • I am a physician scientist specializing in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, dedicated to merging my clinical focus on pediatric oncology with my distinctive research expertise in tissue engineering and biomaterials. My goal is to engineer cutting-edge research solutions that enhance treatment outcomes for young patients fighting cancer.

I am a current Instructor in Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, Stem Cell Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University. In Fall 2024, I will be transitioning to a faculty position as an independent physician-scientist at the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Research Institute and will be an Acting Assistant Professor in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

I am proud to be first faculty in the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research to be funded through the Seattle Children’s Research Institute Excellence in Research New Investigator Award. This program supports faculty with backgrounds underrepresented in science, including those with disabilities, a community to which I proudly belong. My goal is to combine my clinical interests in pediatric sarcomas with my research background in tissue engineering and biomaterials to engineer cures for incurable pediatric cancers.
