- After earning a MD from the Stanford School of Medicine, Dr. Desai completed residency and a Heed glaucoma fellowship at Northwestern University. Having produced over 50 peer-reviewed publications and presentations across the country, Dr. Desai earned the 2013 Society of Heed Fellows Award, one of only 5 awarded nationally each year. As a “2018 America’s Top
Ophthalmologist” award recipient, Dr. Desai has been regularly trusted by other doctors and nurses to perform cataract and glaucoma surgery on their own parents’ eyes. He also serves as a consultant to glaucoma microsurgical device companies Allergan and New World Medical.
