Summary
- Dr Rajeev Suri is a tenured Professor and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at University of Texas Health San Antonio. During his tenure at UT Health since 2004, Dr Suri has continued his research and clinical interests in interventional oncology and peripheral arterial disease and has authored over 150 peer reviewed articles, book chapters, and abstracts presented over 75 invited lectures and 200 educational/scientific presentations at various national and international conferences. He has received national and international honors, including Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR), Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology (FSIR), and Fellow of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (FCIRSE). He has eagerly promoted resident and medical student education and has been awarded the UT Regents Outstanding Teaching Award, UTHSCSA Presidential Teaching Excellence, Distinguished Teaching Professor Award and the American Board of Radiology Volunteer Service Award. Dr. Suri is the past President of the Medical Dental Staff (Chief of Staff) for the University Hospital and past President of the Bexar County Medical Society. Working closely with the Department of Radiology, UT Health and University Health, Dr Suri continues to actively serve the patients of South Texas in addition to his administrative and teaching roles.
