- Dr. Pooja S. Jagadish is a General Cardiologist in Portsmouth, NH. Dr. Jagadish received her BA in 2012 from Vanderbilt University, where she studied Anthropology and Women’s and Gender Studies. She received her MD degree in 2017 from East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine. During medical school, Dr. Jagadish founded the Quillen High School Outreach Program—an organization in which health sciences students become teachers and mentors to help rural high schoolers find their passion for medical careers; since its start, the program has seen tremendous community impact with multiple high school students pursuing health careers in rural Appalachia.
As a Resident at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN, Dr. Jagadish oversaw her program's Wellness Committee, fostering community and camaraderie among her peers. As a Fellow, she founded and served as Director of the Advancement and Innovation Council to improve educational and wellness goals of her program. She continued to teach students and residents and hopes to build a career as a clinician-educuator. For her efforts, she was awarded the 2023 Outstanding Fellow of the Year by the University of Arizona - Tucson Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Jagadish graduated from the University of Arizona-Tucson's Cardiovascular Disease fellowship in June 2023 and went on to practice General Cardiology in Boston, MA with appointment as Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. After this position, she moved north to New Hampshire and will be practicing Cardiology in Portsmouth and Rochester, NH.
In her free time, Dr. Jagadish continues to enjoy motivational speaking, writing short stories and poetry, reading about technology, and Tweeting a daily #CVBoardPearl.
