Summary

  • Dr. Peter Miller joined Colon & Rectal Specialists in July 2016. He grew up in Baltimore, MD and attended Washington and Lee University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and was a captain on the men's soccer team. He then went on to attend University of Maryland School of Medicine where he received his medical degree. He completed his general surgery training at Steward Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston and also completed a year of research at the the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans with a focus on surgical outcomes and translational cancer research. He finished his surgical training at Brown University/Warren Alpert Medical School, completing a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery. Dr. Miller has special clinical interests in minimally invasive surgery for colon and rectal cancer including robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He also has a special interest in the treatment of fecal incontinence.
