He serves as the Chief and Director of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD, and is the director of the Endocrine Hospitalist program.

    After completing his endocrinology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Zilbermint established an Endocrine Hospitalist and Inpatient Diabetes Management Service at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. This program focuses on improving glycemic control for hospitalized patients.

    Dr. Zilbermint is a highly regarded expert in diabetes, adrenal, pituitary diseases, and general Endocrinology. In 2023, he was honored with the Vigersky Outstanding Clinical Practitioner award for his exceptional contributions to the endocrine and medical communities. He also received the 2023 Rising Star in Endocrinology Award from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology for his remarkable leadership and innovative contributions to advancing clinical endocrinology for global health.

    With over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters to his name, Dr. Zilbermint is a passionate educator and he has delivered more than 200 regional, national, and international interactive lectures.
