Summary
- I am an interventional cardiologist with many years of experience. My journey to becoming a physician began during my undergraduate studies in biology, math and psychology. While working as a teacher following graduation from college, I was encouraged to volunteer at an emergency room. I gave up my evenings to do so and found that I loved patient care. Cardiology has allowed me to use my exceptional visual and spacial skills to change the lives of patients on a daily basis. I have been privileged to care for some patients over several decades. Those lasting connections have been very rewarding. Although I excel at caring for the most ill, I also enjoy practicing prevention and offering reassurance to those much less sick. There are now available simple, inexpensive tools to identify patients at risk and allow for physicians to practice true prevention. No longer does one need to wait for a cardiovascular crisis in order for one to be identified as having heart disease.
