• Dr. Lora Wichser is a psychiatrist and advocate for exceptional healthcare through high-quality education and innovation for Veterans living with psychiatric illness. Medical education leadership has been the focus of Dr. Wichser's career and she has published, presented, and developed educational materials nationally as an investigator with the Psychiatry Education Research Laboratory (PERLab).
  
  Dr. Wichser is an inductee of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Wichser's clinical interests lie in best practices in the diagnosis and management of psychiatric illness in those with neurodevelopmental disorders and psychotherapeutic communication with patients in acute settings. Dr. Wichser is a developer of the Minnesota Arc, a framework and curriculum to teach healthcare professionals effective communication in the clinical setting.
  
  Dr. Wichser works in Omaha, Nebraska, as a psychiatrist for the Nebraska - Western Iowa Veterans Affairs Health Care System in the role of site director for the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry Residency Program and supervisor for the ambulatory telepsychiatry resident/physician teaching service.
