Summary

• Dr. Lara Briseño Kenney is a board certified Internal Medicine physician with sub specialty board certifications in Hematology, Oncology, Hospice and Palliative Care.
  Born and raised on the West Coast, she moved to the Midwest in 1997 to attend Medical School in Kansas City.
  After graduating from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine, she entered into active duty in the United States Army. During her 7 years in the Army she deployed several times at the Battalion and Brigade level, earning a Bronze Star for her work with the Iraqi Ministry of Health.
  She has chosen to practice Internal Medicine and as well as Hematology Oncology and Palliative Care in rural settings where she is able to offer her common sense, no nonsense approach alongside world class training and experience. She values the personal relationships and interesting challenges that go along with this type of a genuine practice and in 2019 she opened her own practice, Leeton Medical.
  She co-founded the Direct Specialty Care Alliance, a national organization for physicians. She has served in the executive board of the Direct Primary Care Alliance and is often invited to speak to fellow physicians about both medicine and business.
  Apart from medicine, her other interests include delicious food, family, fellowship and everything to do with horses.
